24.1 Configuring GroupWise as the
Conferencing E-Mail System
By default, Conferencing is configured to send meeting invitation messages from the administrator
account of the SMTP server on the host where Conferencing is installed. You do not need to use the
GroupWise Internet Agent for this purpose, but you can.

24.1.1 Preparing for GroupWise Integration with Conferencing
Before you install Conferencing with GroupWise, you need to gather the following GroupWise
information:
A GroupWise user who has been designated as a Postmaster for the Internet Agent. This user
receives messages about problems with the Conferencing server.
The IP address or DNS hostname of a server where the GroupWise Internet Agent is running.
A GroupWise username and password for the Conferencing mailer to use when connecting to
the GroupWise Internet Agent to transfer meeting invitation messages into the GroupWise
system (optional).
24.1.2 Integrating GroupWise with Novell Conferencing
GroupWise integration is established when you install Conferencing.
During the installation, you are prompted:
Do you want to change the system administrator e-mail configuration? (y/n/?)
1 Type
, then press Enter.
y
2 Type the GroupWise Postmaster e-mail address, then press Enter.
You can enter multiple e-mail addresses if needed.
3 Press Enter again to end the list of addresses.
The e-mail address you entered is displayed for verification.
