Updating a GroupWise System in

a Linux Cluster
®
In a Linux cluster, you must install the GroupWise
software on each node in the cluster. Before you
run the GroupWise Installation program to install updated software, make sure you know all the
cluster nodes where the GroupWise software is already installed.
It is very important to update all nodes on the failover list of each domain and post office at the same
time because each domain and post office should serviced by only one one version of the agent
software. If you do not update all nodes on the failover list at once, there is the potential for a
domain or post office to be serviced by a different version of the agent software during a failover
situation. This can cause database problems.
Keep in mind these cluster-specific details as you follow the instructions in "Update" in the
GroupWise 8 Installation Guide
to update your GroupWise system in a NetWare cluster.
