There are limitations on flash settings when using Scene modes (

When you cancel the Scene mode, the flash mode returns to the setting you were
using before selecting the Scene mode. However, if you change the flash mode while
in a Scene mode, that flash mode is retained even when you cancel the Scene mode.

• When you cancel Macro/Landscape mode, the flash mode returns to the settings
you were using before selecting Macro/Landscape mode. However, if you change
the flash mode while in a Macro/Landscape mode, that flash mode is retained even
when you cancel the Macro/Landscape mode.
• Using the Fill-in Flash mode while in Macro mode will result in over-exposure.
