Adding hidden machines

The Microsoft browser maintains a list of machines on a Microsoft network.
This list is stored on a machine that is selected as the master browser. To
reduce the amount of network traffic that this creates, the browser is not often
updated. The list of machines displayed in the Management Console's
network view is obtained from this browser, so it may not be up-to-date. You
can force the Management Console to update its list by right-clicking on a
Microsoft network domain and choosing Refresh.
If you cannot see a machine in the Management Console's network view when
you normally expect to see it, check your Network Neighborhood view. If the
machine is not visible in your Network Neighborhood, the machine or the
network has been incorrectly configured, and the Management Console
cannot find the machine.
Windows NT also lets you hide a machine from the browse list by using the
NET CONFIG SERVER /HIDDEN command. A hidden machine will then
never appear on the browse list. This means that the machine cannot be
dragged from the network view to the anti-virus domain view; you must add
it manually to the anti-virus domain.
