Using MCScript to Update Your Script Files

Specifying [ParentComponents] keys

The [ParentComponents] section lists other products of which at least one
must be on a machine for the product to be installed. For example, the Dat
Update product lists the NetShield and VirusScan programs here. This section
is not required. As with the [ExcludedComponents] section, you can specify a
start and an end version; this is useful for updates that apply only to a
particular version (or range of versions) of a product.
Example:
[ParentComponents]
Component0=Mother
Component1=Father
FatherStartVersion=1.00
FatherEndVersion=2.00

Specifying [ExtensionDLLs] keys

The [ExtensionDLLs] section lists the filenames and display names of any
configuration .DLLs required by the product. If the product does not require
any remote configuration, this section can be omitted. The .DLLs should be
present on the media, and the name should match the name returned by the
GetVersionAndName() call into the .DLL.
Example:
[ExtensionDLLs]
DLL0=VSHLDNT.DLL
Name0=VShield NT
DLL1=MEVSCNT.DLL
Name1=VirusScan NT
DLL2=MEUPGNT.DLL
Name2=Update/Upgrade NT
DLL3=MEALMGNT.DLL
Name3=AlertManager NT
