Creating NetWare mirrors

To set up your mirror repository on a NetWare server, you must first create the
necessary directories and set the access privileges.
You must create an administrator's user ID with full access rights to the mirror
repository so that you can add software to the mirror repository.
Clients require read-only access to the mirror repository. This user ID should
be a single user ID for all clients that need to read from the mirror repository.
This user ID also must have full access to the \UPGRADES directory.

Follow these steps to set up a mirror repository on a NetWare server:
1. Create a new directory named REPO. This holds the Management
2. Create another directory named UPGRADES.
3. For clients needing to access \REPO, create a single, shared NetWare

NOTE: If you exit the Repository without components being fully
updated or installed, the Incomplete Components and Mirrors
dialog box appears, showing a list of the incomplete components or
mirror repositories. This can happen if a WAN connection is
dropped or an installation is interrupted. For details, see
component properties in the Repository" on page
IMPORTANT: The volume you choose to host a mirror repository must
support long file names. Therefore, you must load OS2.NAM or
LONG.NAM and add the additional namespace, if it is not already
configured.
