Adding advanced VirusScan engine options

The following table lists all of the command-line options that can be
communicated directly to the scanning engine via the Advanced Scan Settings
dialog box provided by most Detection property pages. These command-line
options (that you specify in the Advanced Scan Settings dialog box), will
supplement, and can overwrite, the options selected in the VShield and
VirusScan Detection property pages.

Running the VirusScan Command Line program

A typical installation of VirusScan software includes the VirusScan Command
Line program. You can run VirusScan Command Line either from a Windows
MS-DOS Prompt window, or by restarting your computer in DOS mode.
Network Associates recommends restarting in DOS mode for best results. To
learn how to restart your computer in DOS mode, see your Microsoft
Windows documentation. To run the program, change to the directory in
which the file SCAN.EXE is located, and type scan followed by the scanning
