Importing browse lists

After you have prepared the imported browse list, you must add its details to
the network view in the Management Console.
Follow these steps to include the imported browser list in the network:
1. In the Management Console's network view, right-click
2. Select the .TXT file containing the browse list, and click Open.

When you first import a list into the Management Console, it uses the
pathname in the network view. You can change this to a more descriptive
name if you want.

If any part of the list is in the wrong format, the error is reported. Here
are the possible messages:
• Long machine name - maximum is 15 characters.
• Invalid platform type. For valid platform types, see

Correct the file with a text editor and try again. Then, in the network
view, right-click the filename, and choose Refresh to re-read it.
The network view now shows the hidden machines that you have added.
Any machine comments appear in brackets - [ ] - after their machine
name. You can show or hide these comments by choosing View, and then
choosing Machine Comments from the main menu.

IMPORTANT: Do not delete an imported browse list that is in current
use. The Management Console refers to the list every time you run it. The
Management Console does not keep a separate copy.
