This control switch (see Figure 3-32) is used to raise the tailgate. Press and keep down this switch to
raise the tailgate to the desired height.
Before using this switch, make sure that the truck is parked on safe level ground.

Remove both tailgate-locking pins before using this control switch.

Warning!
Do not drive the vehicle when the tailgate is not fully closed.

: When the tailgate is unlocked both the in-cab buzzer (see Figure 3-37) and the backup alarm

will start sounding off. A red warning light, located on the buzzer, will also blink.

: Each time the tailgate is unlocked, the message "Tailgate Unlocked" appears on the monitor
