Cleaning the Hopper (for Tip-to-Dump Vehicles)

Hopper cleaning procedure:
1. Park the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
2. Fully extend the arm and the packer.
3. Perform the lockout/tagout procedure (see Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle on page 33).
4.
Open the clean-out traps located on each side of the truck.
5.
Clean all accumulated dirt under cylinder brackets and inside the side tracks using the hoe and
pressurized water if necessary. Be careful with proximity switches to prevent misalignment.
6. Perform a visual inspection for leaks or wear in this area.
7. Rake small pieces of garbage out of the clean-out trap using the provided hoe.

8. Finish cleaning the area with pressurized water.
