5.9.12 Use the Recipe icon
5.9.12.a Observing at the recommend observation condition
1.
Click the Recipe icon in the Home tab.
The Recipes window is displayed.
2.
Click the Standard Recipes icon.
3.
Select a recipe from the thumbnail display.
Select General-purpose conditions when you don't know which recipe is suitable for observing
the specimen.

Tick the required item checkbox.
Question
Electrically conductive specimen?
Perform EDS analysis?
Observation in low vacuum mode?
Specimen is wider than 5μm?

Click the Apply button.
The observation condition is applied.

Remarks
Setting the observation condition to general condition
Set observation condition suitable for inorganic material such as glass and
semiconductor.
Set observation condition suitable for material such as metals and minerals.
Set observation condition suitable for organic material such as fibers and
plastic.
Set observation condition suitable for material such as organisms and plants.
Remarks
Set AccV to lower so that the specimen does not occur
charge.
Increase probe current, set the value suitable for EDS
analysis.
Set vacuum mode to low vacuum mode in order to
observe specimen with no conductivity or unevaporated
specimens.
Set PC value so that magnification can be observed in
×20,000 or more.
