The DVD1 INPUT SETUP menu is shown here as an example, and will continue
to be shown as an example throughout this section. Whenever it appears, any
other INPUT SETUP menu can be substituted. Likewise, whenever the DVD1 input
appears as a step in a menu path, any other input can be substituted.
S-VIDEO OSD 4:3
SETUP INPUTS DVD1 MAIN ADVANCED
Controls the appearance of the on-screen display when the display
device is connected to an S-video output connector. When set to
ON, the display device shows the on-screen display in a 4:3 aspect
ratio* regardless of the incoming signal. When set to OFF, the
display device shows the on-screen display in the same aspect ratio
as the input signal.
* Aspect ratio refers to the ratio between the height and width of the
picture on the display device or to the ratio between the height
and width of the display device. A 4:3 aspect ratio is almost
square. A 16:9 aspect ratio, often referred to as "widescreen," is
almost twice as wide as it is high.

• An anamorphic video input signal is present.
