The purpose of this document is to communicate any points that are not fully discussed in the RV-8
Receiver User Guide (Rev. 1).

AM Tuner Europe Region Lo Limit

On page 3-73 in the TUNER REGION BAND LIMIT AND INCREMENTS table, the frequency for the
EUROPE, E. EUROPE and JAPAN REGION AM (band) LO LIMIT should be 522kHz, and the AM (band) HI
LIMIT should be 1602kHz.

Radio Text display affected by signal strength

Radio Text display (page 3-77) can be affected by the signal strength of the currently tuned station. A
weak signal may cause the display to repeat the same message even if a new message is broadcast.

RDS-enabled stations may broadcast incorrect call letters

Note that RDS-enabled stations may broadcast incorrect call letters. When an FM Preset is saved either
manually or with the AUTOLOAD option, the tuner will automatically enter the call letters of an
RDS-enabled station. In some instances these call letters may be incorrect.
PRESET NAME displays the text that is entered in the NAME field (page 5-2) for the given preset. Note that
if an RDS-enabled station is sending out the wrong call letters, these incorrect call letters will be automati-
cally entered into the PRESET NAME field.
