The DVD1 INPUT SETUP menu is shown here as an example, and will continue to be shown as an example throughout this section. Whenever it appears, any other INPUT SETUP menu
can be substituted. Likewise, whenever the DVD1 input appears as a step in a menu path, any other input can be substituted.

COMPONENT IN
Opens the COMPONENT menu shown above, which can be used
to assign a component video input connector for the selected
input. The RV-8 has eight configurable inputs, each of which can
be assigned to any of its three component video input connectors.
Alternatively, COMPONENT IN can be assigned to VIDEO. This will
cause the composite or S-video signal selected for the VIDEO IN
parameter to be converted to component output. The NONE
setting will shut off the component output.
