Add Cover

You can load printed paper or colored paper into a
paper tray to add to the front and back of the
printed document as a cover.

You cannot use paper of a different size from
that of the copy paper.
You cannot use [Add Cover] with [Mixed Size
Original], [Page Border], or [Overlay] at the
same time. (p.65 "Mixed Size Original", p.71
"Page Border", p.73 "Overlay")
[Binding Edge]
Specify the binding edge.
[Front Cover]
Set this option to [ON] to add a cover to the front of
each printout.
[Back Cover]
Set this option to [ON] to add a cover to the back
of each printout.
[Paper Tray]
Specify the feed tray that is loaded with cover
paper.
Touch [Add Cover].

The [Add Cover] screen is displayed.
Select the binding side.

Configure the cover settings.

Select [OFF] or [ON] for the front and back covers.
Touch the paper tray.

The [Select Tray] screen is displayed.
Select a paper tray and touch [OK].

Touch [OK].

Load the cover paper.

The side in which the paper is loaded
varies depending on the tray.
[Front Cover]
Standard tray / Optional additional tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
up.
Feed tray: Load the paper with the first
page facing down.
[Back Cover]
Standard tray / Optional additional tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
down.
Feed tray: Load the paper with the first
page facing up.

Change the [Paper Selection] settings
according to the loaded paper. (p.61
"Paper Selection")

Separation

Insert a slip sheet between pages or sets, or to
separate jobs.

When loading special paper to be used as slip
sheets, it is recommended that [Auto
Selection] be set to [OFF] for the paper tray for
slip sheets. (p.62 "Changing the Paper Tray
Setting")
You cannot use the [Separation] function with
the [Program] function at the same time. (p.74
"Program")
[Slip Sheet]
[OFF]: Slip sheets are not inserted.
[Between Sorts]: A slip sheet is inserted for each
unit specified in [Sort].
[After a Job]: A slip sheet is inserted after every
printed job.
[Paper]
Specify the paper tray in which slip sheets are
loaded.
[Number Printing]
[OFF]: Numbers are not printed.
[1 2 3 ...]: Numbers are stamped on slip sheets in
numerical order (1, 2, 3...).
[A B C...]: Letters are stamped on slip sheets in
alphabetical order (A, B, C... Z, AA, AB...). (Up to
ZZZ)
