Printer Driver Settings

Staple
Specify the stapling position.

When [Staple] is configured, make sure to
configure [Binding Edge].
•
When [Staple] is configured, [Sort] is set to
[Collated]. (p.109 "Sort")
•
When [Booklet] is configured, [Staple] is [OFF].
(p.114 "Booklet")
•
When [Booklet Binding] is configured, [Staple]
is [OFF]. (p.212 "Booklet Binding")
•
The [Staple], [Poster], and [Output Tray Relay]
functions cannot be used at the same time.
(p.115 "Poster",p.214 "Output Tray Relay")
•
The orientation of the paper varies depending
on the binding edge. See "Staple Function and
Loading Orientation of the Paper" (p.209).
If you select [Left] or [Right] for [Binding Edge],
select from the following options:
[OFF], [1 Staple], [2 Staples]
If you select [Top] for [Binding Edge], select from
the following options:
[OFF], [Left 1 Staple], [Right 1 Staple],
[2 Staples]

Paper size: A3, B4, A4, A4-LEF, B5, B5-LEF,
A5-LEF, Ledger, Legal, Letter, Letter-LEF,
Foolscap, 8K, 16K, 16K-LEF, Custom size
•
Paper weight: 52 g/m - 210 g/m (14-lb bond -
56-lb bond)
<Number of sheets that can be stapled>
•
When using standard size paper
A4, A4-LEF, B5, B5-LEF, A5-LEF, Letter,
Letter-LEF, 16K, 16K-LEF: 2 to 100 sheets
Sizes other than the above (A3, B4, Ledger,
Legal, Foolscap, 8K): 2 to 65 sheets
•
When using custom size paper
Paper length exceeds 297 mm (11 11/16"): 2 to
65 sheets
Paper width and length exceed 216 mm (8
1/2"): 2 to 65 sheets
Non-standard size paper other than the above:
2 to 100 sheets

When a job exceeding the maximum number
of sheets that can be stapled is printed, the
printouts will be output without being stapled.
