Chapter 1 Copying

Select a program.
The following settings can be configured from the
sub menu.
Rename
Delete
Follow the on-screen instructions to change the
settings.

Touch [Edit].
For specific instructions on subsequent operations,
see steps 3 through 8 in "Saving a Program" (p.72).

Add Cover

You can load printed paper or colored paper into a
paper tray to add to the front and back of the
printed document as a cover.
You cannot use paper of a different size from

that of the copy paper.
[Binding Edge]
Specify the binding edge.
[Front Cover]
Set this option to [ON] to add a cover to the front of
each printout.
[Back Cover]
Set this option to [ON] to add a cover to the back
of each printout.
[Paper Tray]
Specify the feed tray that is loaded with cover
paper.

Touch [Add Cover].
The [Add Cover] screen is displayed.

Select the binding side.

Configure the cover settings.
Select [OFF] or [ON] for the front and back covers.

Touch the paper tray.
The [Select Tray] screen is displayed.

Select a paper tray and touch [OK].

Touch [OK].

Load the cover paper.

The side in which the paper is loaded
varies depending on the tray.
[Front Cover]
Standard tray / Optional additional tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
up.
Paper tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
down.
[Back Cover]
Standard tray / Optional additional tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
down.
Paper tray:
Load the paper with the first page facing
up.

Change the [Paper Selection] settings
according to the loaded paper. (p.59

Separation

Insert a slip sheet between pages or sets, or to
separate jobs.
To load special paper to be used as slip
^
^
sheets, it is recommended that [Auto
Selection] should be set to [OFF] for the paper
tray for slip sheets. (p.60 "Changing the Paper
Tray Setting")
[Slip Sheet]
When this option is set to [OFF], slip sheets are not
inserted.
When this option is set to [Between Sorts], a slip
sheet is inserted for each unit specified in [Sort].
When this option is set to [After a Job], a slip sheet
is inserted after every printed job.
