Chapter 1 Copying

Scan Job Build

You can collectively copy multiple originals
scanned with different settings as one job.
This option is convenient when the originals vary in
type and image quality.

The [Scan Job Build] and [ADF Scan & Pause]
functions cannot be used at the same time.

[OFF], [ON]
Touch [Scan Job Build].

The [Scan Job Build] screen is displayed.
Touch [ON].

Touch [OK].

Load the original and press the

[Start] key.
Scanning of the original starts, and when it is
completed, the [Confirm] screen is displayed.
Touch [Change Setting].

The [Copy] screen is displayed.
Change the copy settings as

needed.

You can change only the following copy
settings when scanning from the second
time.
[Color Mode], [Reproduction Size],
[Original Orientation], [Scanning Level],
[Book Shadow Erasure], [Page Border],
[Original Type], [Gamma Correction],
[Image Control], [Base Color Level]
Load the next original and press the

[Start] key.
Scanning of the original starts, and when it is
completed, the [Confirm] screen is displayed.
Repeat steps 5 to 7 as needed.

If you do not have to change the settings, follow the
displayed messages for operation.

Touch [Scanned] on the [Confirm]

The scanned data is printed.

Interrupt Copy

This function allows you to pause the job being
printed to copy another document.

The following functions are not available for
interrupt copy:
[Program], [Slip Sheet], [Add Cover], [ADF
Scan & Pause], [Scan Job Build]
An interrupt copy cannot be made while a job
using the staple function or offset output
function is being processed with the face down
finisher. The interrupt copy function is
available when any one of the optional
stacking trays, high capacity stacker, or
multifunction finisher is connected.
When performing an interrupt copy with a job
being output to the multifunction finisher, the
following settings are unavailable:
[Staple / Punch], [Fold], [Binding], [Output
Tray], [Face Up/Down], [Output Tray Relay]
Press the [Interrupt] key.

The interruption screen is displayed.
Load the original and press the

[Start] key.
You can continue with the interrupt copy operation
while the [Ready to copy. (Interrupting)] message
is displayed.
After copying is completed, press

the [Interrupt] key to cancel
interrupt copy.
Printing of the paused job resumes.
Interrupt copy is also canceled when the machine
has not been operated for 60 seconds.
