3-3 Manual Setup Procedures

3-3-4 If the side glue setting has been changed from on to off

• If the side glue setting has been changed to Off
on the Setup – Glue screen, the rear side glue
roller must be pulled to the rear.
• The side glue must be set to Off when doing
bookbinding without cover sheets.
Wear gloves for this job. The adjusting
plate is very hot at this point, and you
may burn yourself.
Before pulling back the side glue roller, be
absolutely sure to make a note of its
current position.
(1) Open the left front cover .
(2) Loosen the locking screw on the adjusting
plate.
(3) Turn the adjusting plate clockwise.
The rear side glue roller moves toward the
rear.
(4) Tighten the locking screw on the adjusting
plate.
(5) Close the left front cover.

3-3-5 If the side glue setting has been changed from off to on

• If the side glue setting has been changed to On
on the Setup – Glue screen, the rear side glue
roller must be returned to the front.
Wear gloves for this job. The adjusting
plate is very hot at this point, and you
may burn yourself.
Return the adjusting plate to its original
position.
(In the standard position, the cutout on
the adjusting plate points to the center
on the scale.)
(1) Open the left front cover.
(2) Loosen the locking screw on the adjusting
plate.
(3) Turn the adjusting plate counterclockwise.
The rear side glue roller moves to the
front.
(4) Tighten the locking screw on the adjusting
plate.
(5) Close the left front cover.
