3-2 Doing the Changeover
Set the side glue.
• Select whether the glue is to be applied.

When side glue is turned off
• Manually pull back the side glue roller (on the
register side).

Set the spine glue.
• Select either "automatic" or "manual."
• has been selected in this example.
When the spine glue function is set to
"automatic," the "thickness of spine glue," "first
wiper opening" and "second wiper opening"
values are automatically set to the appropriate
values to match the dimensions and thickness
of the book block.
If any changes are made from the values set
automatically, switch to "manual," and then
change the values.

- When you bind the book with PUR glue and select
"Level" for the milling angle, select "manual" and
set the wiper opening to +0.2mm / 0.01" or wider.
When the spine glue function is set to
"automatic", the wiper opening is 0.4mm / 0.02"
and the gule may not applied to the spine.

entered, and the Setup – Check screen
