Place the brush height gauge on the
milling unit.
Adjust the brush height by increasing or
decreasing the number of shims.
Attach the parts which have been removed
in the step 3 in the reverse order of removal.

If the brush is high, the brush
pushes up the center of the gauge
and the gauge tilts left and right.
Three shims 0.5 mm/0.020" thick and
four shims 0.1 mm/0.004" thick are
included. Adjust the brush height by
using the right combination of shims.
When a service technician makes the adjustment,
adjust the brush height this way. Place the level
gauge on the carriage clamp No.1. Set the value
of the level gauge to "0" with the height of the
milling cutter. Adjust the brush height so that the
top of the brush is 0.2 mm/0.008" above the
milling cutter.
