5-13 Replacing the EVA Notching Cutters
Remove the two EVA notching cutters.
(1) Press the Brake Release button on the main
part of the machine.
(2) With the Brake Release button held down, turn
the milling cutter clockwise by hand. Stop when
you can see both notching cutters.
(3) Turn off the power.
Wear work gloves for this job, and avoid
touching the edges of the milling cutter or
the notching cutters. The sharp edges
could cut you.
(4) Push down each notching cutter using a folded
piece of thick cloth.
There is a spring under the notching cutter,
and when its fix screw is loosened, it might
pop out.
(5) Loosen the mounting screw for each notching
cutter using a 2.5 mm (0.098") Allen wrench.
(6) Remove the notching cutter.
• Repeat steps (4) to (6), and remove the other
notching cutter.
