5-14 Replacing the Glue
Attach the drain for the spine glue.
(1) Loosen the twot glue drain mounting screws.
(2) Hang the spine glue drain, and tighten both
screws.
Place the disposal container under the
glue drain.
Use a container that will not be damaged
by the heat of the glue. This can be
dangerous if the container tears or
cracks.
Remove the drain plug using a 14 mm
Allen wrench.
If the glue is too cool, it may cool and
solidify when it reaches the drain,
causing the glue to overflow from the
drain. Replace the glue while it is still hot.
If the plug is removed suddenly, a lot of
glue may rush out. Remove the plug slowly.
• Any glue stuck to the drain can be peeled away
when it cools off. Leave the glue standing until
it cools off.
• If all the glue must be removed, use a heat-
resistant spatula or other such tool to scrape off
the glue inside the tank.
• If the glue has been hardened completely, the
plug cannot be installed. Go to the next step
before hardening of glue.
