than 700 V. In that case, absorb surges with an insulated transformer or reactor.
D Noise Filters for Power Supply Input
Use a noise filter to attenuate extraneous noise and to diminish noise radiation from the Servo Driver.
Select a noise filter with an effective load current of at least twice the rated current. The effective load
current is the total of the rated currents for the main circuit power supply input and the control circuit
power supply input given in 3-2-3 Terminal Block Wiring. The following table shows noise filters that
reduce by 40 dB noise between 200 kHz and 30 MHz.

Note 1. To attenuate noise at frequencies of 200 kHz or less, use an insulated transformer and a noise
filter. For high frequencies of 30 MHz or more, use a ferrite core and a high-frequency noise
filter with a through-type capacitor.
Note 2. If multiple Servo Drivers are to be connected to a single noise filter, select a noise filter with a
rated current at least two times the total rated current of all the Servo Drivers.
D Noise Filters for Servomotor Output
Use noise filters without built-in capacitors on the Servomotor output lines. Select a noise filter with a
rated current at least two times the total rated current of the Servo Driver's continuous output current.
The following table shows the noise filters that are recommended for Servomotor output.
