EIA CONNECTIONS
Table 9 gives the signal names for the SIO
connections to the 26 p in edge connector and
the corresponding EIA 25 pin connector number.
Signals marked with an asterisk are standard
RS232 definitions. The RS232 definition is
given w it h respect to the t e r m i n a l .
DIRECTION JUMPER AREA
The DIRECTION JUMPER AREA allows the SIO
port to act as the computer or terminal end
of an EIA RS232 line. Figure 1 shows the config
uration for the two modes of operation.
