Take a piece of cardboard, plastic or aluminum
and cut it to approximately 3/8" wide for a strip
about 3/4 inches long and then cut up the center.
Don't cut all the way, so that the center saw cut
can be placed on either side of the LED's leads,
and the LED's can then be pushed into the holes
and against the 1/8 inch spacer and soldered.
