Calibration Setup

The Thermo Scientific Orion 2117HL chloride analyzer provides simple
and fast calibration cycles using double known addition that quickly
have your system back online with security and confidence. The 2117HL
analyzer monthly calibration is quick and accurate using a simple pipet to
inject two known standards into the sample matrix.
Prior to performing a calibration, refer to Chapter III, Use of the Setup
Mode for instructions on how to properly configure the 2117HL analyzer.
The value of the calibration standards, volume of the calibration standards,
and the volume of the flow cell must be entered in the setup mode.
Adjust the flow cell volume according to the precise factory calibration
volume that is printed on the side of each flow cell.
Use the 29,600 ppm high level chloride standard (Cat. No. 211740HL) as
both standard 1 (Std1) and standard 2 (Std2) during the calibration of the
2117HL analyzer. The analyzer will express the standard value in percent
(parts per hundred) in the DKA setup menu and during a DKA calibration.
The standard 2 volume addition is made by adding three increments of
standard 2 to the flow cell using the 0.5 mL pipet.
