Setting Examples for Carbon Arc Gouging

5.4.1 Basic Settings
Use the main menu to set the electrode diameter.
To start. call up the main menu by pressing the MENU button. We will make the
following two settings:
PROCESS = CARBON ARC GOUGING

ELECTRODE DIAMETER = 1/4 in (6mm)

Process
Use the arrow
buttons to select
the PROCESS line.
Press ENTER to
call up a list of
options.
Position the cursor on the line marked CARBON
ArcAir in the list and press ENTER. We have now set
PROCESS = CARBON ARC GOUGING.
Electrode Diameter
Use the arrow
buttons to select
the line
ELECTRODE
DIAMETER.
Press ENTER to
call up a list of
options.
Position the cursor on the line 1/4 in and press ENTER.
The setting ELECTRODE DIAMETER = 1/4 in (6mm)
is now complete.
The set--up procedure for arc air gouging is now complete.
