Current
Current in this context refers to the weld current during welding with constant
current.
Pulse Current and Background Current
For pulse current several parameters must be set which are in correlation with the
weld current. Pulse current and background current indicate which current values the
pulses will lie between, see the following figure.
Current
Pulse Time and Background Time
Pulse time specifies the time for current pulses.
Background time specifies the time for background current.
For welding with pulsed current. see the figure above. The settings range for both
pulse time and background time is 0.001-- 5.000 s.
Gas Pre- - flow and Gas Post- -flow
The parameters for gas pre--flow and gas post--flow determine how long gas will flow
before and after welding.
Slope- - up and Slope- -down
The slope parameters govern the gradual rise and fall of the welding current over a
given time.
