BRAKE SYSTEM

CALIPER REMOVAL

1. Elevate and safely support the rear of the vehicle.
WARNING
Use care when supporting vehicle so that it does not tip
or fall. Severe injury may occur.
2. Remove the four wheel nuts and the rear wheel.
3. Clean caliper area before removal.
4. Place a container below the caliper to catch brake
fluid when removing the brake line. Use a wrench to
remove the brake line banjo bolt.
5. If necessary, loosen brake pad adjustment set screw
2-3 turns to allow brake pad removal after the caliper
is removed.

6. After the fluid has drained into the container, remove
the two caliper mounting bolts and brake caliper.
7. Clean the brake disc, caliper body and caliper
pistons with brake cleaner or alcohol.

CALIPER DISASSEMBLY

1. Remove brake pad adjustment set screw
2. Push upper pad retainer pin inward and slip brake

past the edge and remove from the caliper.
3. Remove mount bracket
4. Using a hammer and a small punch, remove the
