Operating Procedures

This section describes how to operate the PyroMark Q96 ID.
Before proceeding, it is recommended that you familiarize
yourself with the features of the PyroMark Q96 ID by
referring to Sections 3.4 and 3.5.

Required items

The following items are needed to perform a run:










Starting the system

The PyroMark Q96 ID requires a warm-up time of 90
minutes for the CCD camera output to stabilize. To save
time, switch on the instrument before starting to prepare
samples.
5.2.1

Starting the PyroMark Q96 ID

Before starting the PyroMark Q96 ID, ensure that the mains
power cable is correctly inserted into the mains power
connector on the rear panel and connected to a grounded
mains power socket.
Turn the power switch to I (On). All indicator lights turn on
when power is connected. After 1–3 minutes, the "Busy" light
will turn off and the "Information" light will start flashing. The
instrument is now ready for a run.
