Installation Procedures

4.1

Instrument delivery and installation

The unpacking and installation of the PyroMark Q96 ID is
carried out by a certified QIAGEN Field Service Specialist. A
member of your group who is familiar with laboratory and
computer equipment should be present during the installation.
The following items are delivered:

Requirements

Site
The PyroMark Q96 ID and PyroMark Q96 Vacuum
Workstation must be located out of direct sunlight, away
from heat sources, and away from sources of vibration and
electrical interference. Refer to Appendix A for the operating
conditions (temperature and humidity). The site of installation
should be free of excessive drafts, excessive moisture,
excessive dust, and not subject to large temperature
fluctuations.
Refer to Appendix A for the weight and dimensions of the
PyroMark Q96 ID and PyroMark Q96 Vacuum Workstation.
Ensure that the workbench is level, dry, clean, vibration-
proof, and has additional space for accessories.
Approximately 80 cm (31.5 in.) clearance above the
workbench is required to accommodate the PyroMark Q96
ID with the lid open. Allow at least 10 cm (4 in.) of free space
behind the instrument for cabling.
