4.5 Replacing Mains Power Supply Fan

CAUTION!
ESD-sensitive components
To prevent damage to ESD-sensitive components, an ESD-protected environment must be set up.
WARNING!
Faulty installation and failures could increase the blood temperature of the patient and cause the device to
overheat.
WARNING!
Eliminate safety risks.
To finish the task, the following steps must be carried out in order to ensure error-free use.

Check the function of the fan.

Carrying out the inspection (⇨ "Inspection", page 33).

Open the device (⇨ "Opening the Device", page 108).

Remove the battery housing (⇨ "Removing Battery Housing", page 116).

Unscrew the 8 screws [1].

Replace the fans [2].
CAUTION!
Make sure to install the fan in its correct position and to correct the airflow.

Fix the fans with the screws with a force of 0.5 Nm and Loctite 270 [1].

Connect the HMI tester to the CARDIOHELP (⇨ "IPC Function
Test", page 95).
