TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SYMPTOM
Excessive vehicle vibration.
Torque converter does not shift smoothly.
Engine won't stop running.
Low oil warning light stays on.
Hour meter does not function.
Hour meter adds increments with key switch
ON and engine not running.
10-amp fuse blows repeatedly.
25-amp fuse blows repeatedly.
Starter motor engages when key switch is in
the ON position.
Bed lift does not function
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Engine mounting nuts or bolts are loose
Misaligned muffler mounting clamp
Damaged drive belt
Damaged drive clutch
Damaged driven clutch
RPM setting is incorrect
Drive belt is worn, cracked, glazed, or frayed
Drive clutch malfunction
Driven clutch malfunction
Governor is sticking
Kill circuit wire is disconnected from the
ignition coil
Key switch failure
Oil level sensor failure
Shorted wire harness wire(s)
Failed low oil warning light or oil pressure
sensor
Oil pressure switch failed closed
Failed hour meter
Oil pressure switch failed open
Diode 1 failed closed
