Locate and remove the two brake release
access plugs on the front of the electric drive
motors. Set the plugs aside.
Note: Do not misplace the plugs. Failure to not
reinstalling the plugs will result in component
damage.

Remove two of the retaining fasteners from
opposite sides of the electric motor cover.

Install the retaining fasteners into the brake
release access holes. Turn both fasteners in
even increments until the brakes are
released. Do not over tighten the fasteners.

Move the machine to an area that has a firm,
level surface and is free of obstructions.

Chock the wheels at both ends of the
machine.

Remove the retaining fasteners from the
brake release access holes to reengage the
brakes.

Install the retaining fasteners securing the
motor cover and the brake release access
plugs.

Procedure, How to Remove the Steer
Bellcrank.
Remove the snap rings and shims from the
king pin.
Remove the yoke assembly from the
machine.
Remove the thrust washer from the king pin.
