2. Press the SPACE bar to choose either ENABLED or DISABLED. The COM port must be
ENABLED for the LM or UPS application. Selecting DISABLED prevents a connection via
the COM port thus providing additional module security.
CAUTION: If the COM port is reconfigured without a valid IP address set on the switch
module or chassis, the message shown in
Do not continue unless the outcome of the action is fully understood.

NOTE: If the 6C105 or 6C107 chassis has been configured with a valid IP address this
screen will not display. When the chassis is assigned a valid IP address, all the switch
modules installed in the chassis share this same address.
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight YES. Press ENTER.
4. If the port was ENABLED, the message "SAVED OK" displays, and the edits are saved. If the
port was DISABLED, use the arrow keys to highlight SAVE at the bottom of the screen, then
press ENTER.
NOTE: Exiting without saving causes the message "NOT SAVED -- PRESS SAVE TO
KEEP CHANGES" to display. Exiting without saving causes all edits to be lost.
