Blasts (BLASTS)
Definition
The presence of blasts is suspected. Blasts are detected in the Blasts area on the
Baso cytogram and in the LUC area of the Perox cytogram.
The triggering conditions for this flag are:
•
%BLASTS 1.5% to 5.0% and %LUC ≥ 4.5%, or
•
%BLASTS > 5.0% of the total WBCB, or
•
%BASO + %BASO Susp + %BASO Sat ≥ 10%
