12.5.2 Stack feed control

Feeding is performed by the leading edge positioning plate. When 2-point stitching is fin-
ished, the paper positioning plate is lowered so that the center of the paper (stapling posi-
tion) is in the folding roller contact position and paper retaining plate position. The position
of the paper positioning plate is controlled by the number of motor pulses from the paper
positioning plate home position sensor (PI49). The guide plate is lowered at the same time
as the operation of the paper positioning plate, enabling folding to take place.
