INSTALLATION
Follow all Warnings for airbag component service
(Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN-
ING).
(1) Install five screws and two electrical connectors
to the instrument cluster gauge pack (Fig. 1).
(2) Connect one electrical connector to instrument
panel center bezel and install six screws to center
bezel.
(3) Install center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLATION).
(4) Connect the battery negative cable.
(5) Place battery access cover into place and install
four bolts.
(6) Close deck lid.
(7) Verify vehicle and system operation.
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
GAUGE PACK LENS
REMOVAL
Follow all Warnings for airbag component service
(Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN-
ING).
(1) Open deck lid.
(2) Remove four bolts to battery compartment
cover and remove cover.
(3) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable.
(4) Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve
capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag
system or instrument panel component service.
(5) Remove center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - REMOVAL).
(6) Remove six screws and disconnect three electri-
cal connectors to instrument panel center bezel and
remove bezel from vehicle.
(7) Remove five screws and two electrical connec-
tors to the instrument cluster gauge pack and
remove from panel (Fig. 1).
(8) Remove the two lens retaining screws to
instrument cluster gauge pack lens and separate.
INSTALLATION
Follow all Warnings for airbag component service
(Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN-
ING).
(1) Install the two lens retaining screws to the
instrument cluster gauge pack lens.
(2) Install five screws and two electrical connectors
to the instrument cluster gauge pack (Fig. 1).
(3) Connect one electrical connector to instrument
panel center bezel and install six screws to center
bezel.
(4) Install center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLATION).
(5) Connect the battery negative cable.
(6) Place battery access cover into place and install
four bolts.
(7) Close deck lid.
(8) Verify vehicle and system operation.
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LENS
REMOVAL
Follow all Warnings for airbag component service
(Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN-
ING).
(1) Open deck lid.
(2) Remove four bolts to battery compartment
cover and remove cover.
(3) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable.
(4) Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve
capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag
system or instrument panel component service.
(5) Remove center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - REMOVAL).
(6) Remove six screws and disconnect three electri-
cal connectors to instrument panel center bezel and
remove bezel from vehicle.
(7) Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755) or
equivalent, gently pry out on cluster bezel.
