LATCH
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the three screws and remove the key
cylinder cable bracket. (Fig. 6)
(2) Using a grease pencil or equivalent, lightly
mark the outline of the latch on decklid to assist
installation.
(3) Remove bolts attaching latch to decklid (Fig. 7).
(4) Remove latch from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
(1) Position latch to vehicle.
(2) Loosely install bolts attaching latch to decklid.
(3) Using previously made marks, align decklid
latch to outline on decklid.
(4) Tighten bolts attaching decklid latch to decklid
to 12 N·m (9 ft. lbs.).
(5) Install the lock cylinder bracket and install the
three screws.
(6) Verify decklid operation and alignment and
adjust if necessary. (Refer to 23 - BODY/BODY
STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICA-
TIONS)
LATCH STRIKER
REMOVAL
(1) Open the decklid.
(2) Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the
location of the striker to aid installation.
(3) Remove the two bolts and remove the striker.
(Fig. 8)

INSTALLATION
(1) Position striker to vehicle.
(2) Install bolts attaching decklid latch striker to
trunk tail panel and tighten to 12 N·m (9 ft. lbs.).
(3) Verify decklid operation and alignment and
adjust if necessary. (Refer to 23 - BODY/BODY
STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICA-
TIONS)
