The S
can be controlled in three different modes:
TELLAR
• Remote mode via ROSA/C
• Local mode via ROSA and RS-232Contact control mode
If a S
is operated from a central control station with ROSA, the ROSA client
TELLAR
controls the S
via the C
TELLAR
tion. This is the primary connection to the ROSA management system and is used
during daily operation.
Note!
If the remote ROSA logs off the C
polls the S
TELLAR
will be able to display the messages from the S
message view.
The local RS-232 connector is used for local control of the S
tem. In local mode you have full control over the codec, but cannot manage several
S
decoders in a network. The local control using the RS-232 connection is
TELLAR
used for service and diagnostic purposes.
Avoid using ROSA on both the local and the remote port simultaneously.
The S
can be operated in local mode from the front panel display. For further
TELLAR
information,see
Front panel operation, p. 35.
The contact control from the contact closure interface contains macros to be effectu-
ated on external command. The event of a contact closure is recorded in a message in
ROSA.
