Inverters
To Establish an Internet Connection with the Inverter
Below is
a list
of
requirements to establish inve1ter communications
with
the AE data
center. Connectivity must be established before registration
on
the
site
is
attempted.
1.
Connect
the inve1ter's Ethernet po1t to a hub or router
using
an Ethernet
cable.
Ethernet
cables
must meet the
T-568B wiling standard
and must be less than
320
feet in length. If
a
longer
cable is
needed,
additional networking hardware
may
be
required.

.
Provide
DHCP
server
access to the inve1ter and provide a path to the
Internet
for https (po1t 443) from the inve1ter.
As
shipped,
the inve1ter requires DHCP to establish
its
IP
address.

a
fixed
IP
address
is
required for
your
network.
3.
Locate
the inve1ter's MAC address
on
the
label
on the communications PCB
.
The
communications
PCB must be
removed
from the card
cage assembly
to
see
the MAC address.
When the
Internet
connection
is
established,
go to the AE
website
and navigate to the
AE commercial
monitoring webpage
to register the inve1ter and begin
using
the
monitoring
tools.

To Verify Data Monitoring Connectivity
Verify
connectivity
using the following
infonnation:
1.
Check the
status
light located on the front
of
the communications inte1face
PCB
in the card
cage on
the light
side of
the upper compa1tment
in
the
electronics compaitment.
If
the green
status
light
is
in a
solid
on
state,
the data monito1ing connection
is
established.
If
the
status
light is not
solid,
troubleshoot the connection.

.
Register
the
inve1ter
at the AE Solar Energy website to complete the
setup
for
monitoring
the
inve1ter.
