12. GPS OPERATION (ADVANCED)
GPS SET
Altitude
Selects whether or not to transmit altitude data
with the position data in the D-PRS mode.
LThe number of characters you can enter in
"Comment" differs, depending on the "Altitude" and
"Data Extension" settings.
• OFF: No altitude data is transmitted.
• ON: Transmits altitude data with position
data.
Data Extension
Selects whether or not to transmit the Course/
Speed data or the Power/Hight/Gain/Directivity
data with the position data in the D-PRS mode.
LThe number of characters you can enter in
"Comment" differs, depending on the "Altitude" and
"Data Extension" settings.
• OFF:
Does not transmit any
information.
• Course/Speed: Transmits the course and
speed data with the position
data.
LThe course and speed data
are not transmitted when your
location is manually set.
LWhen transmitting with this
setting, your station is regarded
as a mobile station.
• Power/Height/Gain/Directivity:
Transmits the TX power level,
height, antenna gain, and
antenna direction, along with
the position data.
LThe Power, Height, Gain, and
Directivity data are transmitted
even if your location is manually
set.
LWhen transmitting with this
setting, your station is regarded
as a base station.
Power
Selects the TX power level of the base station, to
transmit along with the position data.
LThis item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set
to "Power/Height/Gain/Directivity."
• Select 0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, or 81 W.
(Default: OFF)
Height
Selects the height of the base station's antenna,
to transmit along with the position data.
LThis item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set
• Select 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280,
* If the Altitude/Distance unit is set to "m," select 3, 6,
Gain
(Default: OFF)
Selects the gain of the base station's antenna, to
transmit along with the position data.
LThis item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set
• Select between 0 and 9 dB.
Directivity
Selects the direction the base station's antenna
was pointing, to transmit along with the position
data.
LThis item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set
• Select Omni, 45º NE, 90º E, 135º SE, 180ºS,
(Default: 0W)
