Menu Operation Using the Panel Key

Various functions can be performed using the panel keys in the system operation panel.
The following functions can be performed using the panel keys.
Switching the power mode to remote mode
Switching the power mode to local mode
This section explains the types and functions of the menu operation using the panel keys, and the operational
procedure of each function.
Menu Types
A menu list is shown in
Table 16

Switching the Power Mode to Remote Mode
To switch the power mode to remote mode, select "Menu0:REMOTE MOD".
Note
• The power mode can be changed even if the power (or DC power) of the ETERNUS DX is turned off.
The power mode that was set is enabled after turning on the power.
• The display can be returned to the previous display by pressing the CLEAR key until the confirmation
message is responded to.
• The menu operation may not be available if the operation is performed such as when the ETERNUS DX is
starting, and the "Not Available" message may blink on the LCD panel. In this case, press the CLEAR key
to terminate the menu operation.
The operating procedure is described below.

Turn on the ETERNUS DX.
For methods to turn on the power, refer to

16.
Function
Switches the power mode to remote mode (which turns the power on and off via the power
synchronized unit or SCCI).
Switches the power mode to local mode (which turns the power on and off via the Power
switch).
Switches the maintenance mode on and off. This menu is for use by the maintenance engineer.
Do not use this menu.
Inputs a password. This menu is for use by the maintenance engineer. Do not use this menu.
