Copy Function Related Displays

u Tasks, Errors, and Troubleshooting
When executing the tasks offered by the copy function, the digital operator indicates the task being performed. When an
error occurs, a code appears on the digital operator to indicate the error. Note that errors related to the Copy function do
not trigger a contact terminal set for fault or alarm output. Press any key on the digital operator to clear an error.
Table 5.18
lists the corrective action that can be taken when an error occurs.
Note: 1. The drive should be fully stopped when using the copy function.
2. The drive will not accept a Run command while the copy function is being executed.
3. Parameters can only be saved to an drive when the voltage class, capacity, control mode, and software version match.

Writing Parameter Settings (flashing)
This is not an error.
Control Mode Mismatch
• Check the control mode for the parameters that are to be loaded onto the drive and the control
mode set to the drive to which those parameters will be written.
• Set the same control mode using parameter A1-02 and retry.
Error Writing Data
Attempt to write parameters again.
Copy Unit Error
Replace the digital operator or the USB Copy Unit.
Drive Model Mismatch
• Check the model number of the drive from which the parameters were copied and the model of
the drive to which those parameters will be written.
Make sure the two drives are the same model and have the same software version.
Task Complete
This is not an error.
Communication Error
⇒Check the cable connection.
⇒Use the cable originally packaged with the USB Copy Unit.
