4.14.11 Alarm sending

The communicator can send events scheduled in 4 different ways:
•
Vocal: the communicator sends alarms by voice messages, some pre-recorded, some customized by the user.
•
Numerical: the communicator sends alarms by numerical codes. This mode is used for connection to alarm
reception centres: supported protocols are IDP, ADF, C200B.
•
Modem: the communicator exchanges information (sending and receiving) with a PC provided with FastPro
(Ref.1067/001) software.
•
SMS: the communicator sends alarms by SMS text messages; these alarms can be sent on GSM network only.
Depending on the type of alarm to be sent, it is possible to choose between one or more communication modes.
The following table shows available modes.

If more than one alarm is generated at the same time, it will be signalled following the priority (0= maximum priority,
8=minimum priority).
For every telephone number it is also possible to set which alarm messages must be sent and how. For example, it is
possible to send to a mobile burglar alarms with a voice message and mains failure alarms with an SMS message.
It is also possible to send the same message in a multiple mode, for example by sending burglar alarm to the same
mobile both with voice message and with SMS message. To do it, it is necessary to program in two different memory
locations the same telephone number, by associating the first time the voice sending mode, and the second time the
SMS sending mode.
Warning: selection depends also on the associated channel (PSTN network or GSM network): for SMS, GSM
network must be used.
To configure sending mode and enable respective events follow the instructions below:
1. Enter on the keypad the Installer code (default 000000) and press OK key.
2. Press MENU key.
3. Press ▼ key until "TELEPHONE DIALER" appears on the display.
4. Press OK key to confirm.
5. Press ▼ key until "SENDING MODE" appears.
6. Press OK key to confirm.
7. Select with ▼ and ▲ keys the telephone number to which the alarm sending is associated
and press OK key to confirm.
8. Scegliere con i tasti ▼ e ▲ il modo d'invio (vocale, IDP, ADF, modem , SMS, C200B,
C200B P.P.) e confermare la scelta con OK.
9. Select with ▼ and ▲ keys the type of event to be sent or not (burglar, technological, fire,
panic etc.) and confirm the selection with OK key.
