Configuring Plain Text OSPF Passwords

1. Enable OSPF authentication for Area 0 on switches 1, 2, and 3.
2. Configure a simple text password up to eight characters for each OSPF IP interface
in Area 0 on switches 1, 2, and 3.
3. Enable OSPF authentication for Area 2 on switch 4.
4. Configure a simple text password up to eight characters for the virtual link
between Area 2 and Area 0 on switches 2 and 4.

commands:
NE2552E(config-router-ospf)# area 0 authentication-type password
NE2552E(config-router-ospf)# exit
NE2552E(config)# interface ip 1
NE2552E(config-ip-if)# ip ospf key test
NE2552E(config-ip-if)# exit
NE2552E(config)# interface ip 2
NE2552E(config-ip-if)# ip ospf key test
NE2552E(config-ip-if)# exit
NE2552E(config)# interface ip 3
NE2552E(config-ip-if)# ip ospf key test
