Remove the Lower Ball Seat Assembly and the Piston

CAUTION: Handle the piston with care. Damaging the precision machined
surface of the piston can result in failure of the pump.
See Figure D‐13.
1. Unscrew the lower ball seat assembly (2) from the pump body.
2. Pull the piston (1) out of the bottom of the pump body.

Special Reassembly Instructions
S
Apply Never‐seez to the threads of the lower ball seat before reinstalling
the seat into the pump body.
S
Apply O‐ring lubricant to the lower ball seat O‐ring.
Check/Repair
Remove solidified

reassembly
Nicked or worn
Remove solidified
adhesive before
reassembly
