NSTRUCTIONS FOR TROUBLESHOOTING COMMON COMPONENT ERRORS
Description
The brake actuator has failed to engage as expected to slow down the
descent of any incoming carrier. When this error occurs, the user may hear
a loud arrival sound at the station as the carrier hits the slide plate.
The brake motor is drawing current over the specified threshold. These
advisories are not uncommon. If they become frequent, the brake motor
may be stressed and may require replacement.

Brake opens and closes as expected. D22 and D23 indicators
alternate flashing as the door moves up and down. D20 and
D21 are lighted to indicate that the signal is being received
at the I/O board.
If the brake moves as expected, cycle the station power,
and verify that the brake resets as expected upon
restart.
If the brake does not open and close as expected, check
the indicators as you attempt to manipulate the door.
If the motor indicators do not light, the motor may
require replacement.
If the signal indicators either fail to light or if they
remain lighted while movement is not being attempted,
the signal driver may have failed. In case of a driver fail-
