Hold the motor-coupler attachment, and with standard pliers, turn the metal stem to the right until
the concave side faces outward at the right side of the motor coupler. Then reattach the motor to the
bracket on the coupler tube using the four screws that attach them together.
Moving the stem places it into a position that allows you to more easily attach the brake strap next.
9
Hold together the two ends of the brake strap, and then pull it across the stem from left to right. As
you hold the strap in place, reattach the small bracket to the stem with the two small screws to hold
the strap in place, as shown. Tighten the screws securely.
The rounded end of the small bracket attaches to the top of the stem.

Attach the harnesses on the coupler-tube assembly
The coupler-tube assembly includes two harnesses: one that attaches from the motor to the main circuit
board, and another that attaches to the sensor. Instructions for attaching them are shown next.
1
Locate the S/RU electronic harness, and attach it to the circuit board on the front side of the coupler-
actuator, as shown. The connector is keyed and can be attached only in one orientation, with the red
wire facing upward.
2
Locate the second harness coming off the coupler-actuator motor, and attach it to the wire at the
top of the core assembly, as shown.
Remove the coupler-tube assembly from the station.
Remove the coupler-tube assembly from the station by removing the four large Phillips-head screws on the
motor bracket and then removing the nylon strap from the brake controller.
1
First, take apart the brake actuator assembly if it is currently assembled.
